Cantate Chamber Singers

Earth & Sky

As the winner of their 14th Biennial Young Composers’ Competition, my latest commission, “What Trees Will Become,” will receive its premiere! Cantate Chamber Singers sing music inspired by the earth around us and the sky above us, paying tribute to the natural world with texts and sounds from the sublime to the ridiculous, evoking glimmering starshine, blazing comets, and even a chorus of mosquitos. Music by Alice Parker, Gwyneth Walker, Eric Whitacre, Samuel Barber, and more.

Undergraduate Composition Recital

As a final requirement for the Bachelor of Music in Composition, I will present a concert of my own compositions written during my time at Lawrence. Each work draws inspiration from the forest, ranging from petrification of wood to the not-so-sweet mythical creatures that inhabit them. Many of my wonderful friends and musicians of the Lawrence University Conservatory of Music will breathe life into these musical processes and legends. The hour-long recital will begin at 5pm on Saturday, April 13th, 2019 at Harper Hall within the Music-Drama Center at the Lawrence University Conservatory of Music.
